So there is this type of palm tree that was all over our local little park that at the top of the trunk before the leafs spout has this yellow hairy beard like growth around it. It is in this stuff that i have seen a lot of the local birds make their nests.

This is the bark of a type of palm tree quite popular around my neighborhood in Argentina. I was very intrigued by the layering textures.
